In Year 6 this term, they have been learning all about the circulatory system and the heart. As part of this they were "treated" to a heart dissection! All the children had a chance to look close up at the parts of the heart including the different chambers, valves and the four main tubes coming in and out. They could see that the left side was a lot thicker than the right. They even held the heart and put their fingers in the Aorta!
A very memorable lesson which helped support the diagrams and videos.
