An exciting opportunity to study GCSE Music outside of school.

Study and obtain a Music GCSE qualification with our Music Department.

The LMS Music Department are running a Music GCSE Course open to any Lincoln Minster School pupils in Years 9 or 10 from September 2019, and also to external pupil for a termly cost of £430.

The course will be run weekly, during term time, Wednesday's 4pm-6pm in the Harper Building at Lincoln Minster School, over two years.


The minimum level required is Grade 3 on an instrument/voice, although it is expected that each candidate perform music of Grade 4 or above standard by the performance exam at the end of the two year course.

The course followed will be Edexcel GCSE Music and is weighted 30% Composition, 30% Performance and 40% Listening and Appraising. Classes will be taught by specialist teachers from Lincoln Minster School and you will also benefit from performance opportunities during your time on the course.
