Year 6 pupils are putting their arithmetic and problem solving skills to practice by taking part in the Fiver Challenge during their maths lessons.
The Fiver Challenge is a national competition for children aged 5 – 11 years. It offers children the opportunity to set up a mini business with just £5 and create a product or a service that they can then sell or deliver at a profit and get involved with our parents and local community.
The Fiver Challenge will continue through to Friday 29th June.
The programme includes a range of business skills, including logo design, delivering a sales pitch in assembly, advertising, selling and making a profit.
At weekly intervals the children will be able to enter their work into the national competition.
The competition aims to help pupils understand the world we live in and begin to develop their skills needed in life and work by preparing them for the future.
