Celebrating exceptional results across all Year Groups.

Reflection on some of our best results to date, from pupils at our Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior School.

It was a summer of success at Lincoln Minster School as exam results came in; we are exceptionally proud of each and every one of our pupils and their achievements both in and outside of the classroom.

Our A Level pupils enjoyed fantastic results with 58% achieving A*-B and 86% achieving A*-C with the vast majority going on to their first choice destination - whether university, a school leaver programme, a career in the military or entering the world of work.

Of those going to university, pupils have been accepted on a broad variety of courses ranging from Medicine to Engineering and from Music to Fashion; demonstrating how we can tailor our offering to cater for the individual needs of our pupils and give them the help, support and guidance to reach their goals.

24 pupils completed their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) - a Level 3 qualification equivalent to half an A Level. The EPQ is highly regarded by universities, with many offering pupils reduced offers based on their EPQ. 50% of our pupils achieved A*/A and 79% A*-B.

Year 11 pupils also excelled with 91% achieving A*-C at GCSE and 32% A*/A grades. Our pupils enjoyed excellent grades in GCSE Maths with 24 achieving an A* and 47% achieving A*/A.

The cohort followed the newly reformed English Language and English Literature curriculum and their exams were graded using the new number system 9-1, where 9 is regarded as the A**. Nationally, the percentage of pupils achieving a 9 was 2.6% while at Lincoln Minster School we far exceeded this with 8.7% attaining a Grade 9.

We are also delighted with the success of pupils at the Preparatory School who achieved excellent SATs results considerably higher than the National Average in Reading, SPaG, and Maths. It is also pleasing to see no marked difference between the performance of boys and girls.

Our Pre-Prep pupils also excelled in their Key Stage 1 assessments, in all assessed areas - Reading, Writing and Maths- with 88% achieving age expected standard, a great indication of the wonderful progress they have made.

Behind the percentages and grades hitting the headlines are, of course, a wealth of personal achievements and the just reward for hours of hard work and dedication from a fine body of young people.

We are proud to offer a truly inspiring education for life, see it for yourself, register for our upcoming open day.
