Mud run challenge for Senior pupils

The LMS Obstacle Course Running Club took on the Mini Military Mud Run in Rugby on the last weekend of April.

The Mini Military Mud Run is the UK’s leading outdoor obstacle race for under 16’s and our OCRC pupils, from Years 7 - 9, took on the 5km distance. The Mud Run company warn that the clue is in the title and participants will get muddy…very muddy! The course presents a host of fun and challenging obstacles to tackle, but mud will always be the theme! The group had to enduring a very cold swim, wading through mud and high climbs over slippery obstacles.

The enrichment trip was arranged and led by Teacher Mrs Parry alongside SEN Dan Arden and Year 12 pupil Archie, who came along to support the group along the course. Mrs Parry said,

"Everyone did so well and tried really hard. I have completed a lot of mud runs in the past but this was by far the coldest one I have ever taken part in!"

Well done to all pupils who took part!
