Past pupil racing driver Jack Harvey has qualified for the 102nd running of the iconic Indianapolis 500.
At the wheel of the Meyer Shank Racing with SPM No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda, Jack posted a four-lap average qualifying speed of 225.254-mph to place him 31st for next weekend’s race.
Originally from Bassingham, Linconshire, Jack Harvey is currently the only British race car driver in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
Jack has fond memories of his time at Lincoln Minster School:
“Without a shadow of doubt my time at Lincoln Minster School helped me get to where I am today. The support I received from the school was more than I could have hoped to get which did allow me to focus on racing. There was of course an expectation that I worked hard while I was there. My favourite memory of LMS has to be the friends I made and spent time with for 7 years. And trying not to get caught sleeping in the silent study room after a race!”
