Prep and Senior: World Book Day 2018

Pupils and staff dress to impress in rescheduled World Book Day celebrations.

On Thursday 8th March, pupils and staff at our Preparatory and Senior sites dressed as their favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day - a week after the snow led to the event being postponed.

There were a wide range of impressive and creative character costumes and pupils at the Senior School enjoyed a Mad Hatter's Tea Party with the English teachers going all out with costumes from Alice in Wonderland.

English Teacher Jacqueline Wright said:

"World Book Day is a celebration of reading and books; by dressing up and taking part in fun activities we are able to spread the joy of reading to each other and to those who do not have access to books. The pupils (and staff) were enthusiastic in their celebration of the day and thoroughly enjoyed all the fun! Well done to all pupils who took part."

The Pre-Preparatory School pupils will enjoy their World Book Day celebrations next week.
