Prestigious Gold Scout Award for Evie

Year 8's Evie has been awarded the highest possible accolade in Scouts - the Gold Scout Award.

Evie is the first girl in her Lincoln-based Scout Group to receive the award and was presented the accolade by the Assistant District Commissioner for Lincoln, Chris Jackson.

Evie has been involved in Scouting since she joined as a Beaver Scout in 2010 and Evie has completed all the required outdoor, educational, community, international and sporting activities required to achieve this prestigious award.

Group Scout Leader Fran Firth said:

"Evie is a fantastic Scout, always enthusiastic and polite. She has earned this fantastic achievement and we are all very proud of her".

Evie was awarded a Certificate and medal as well as sharing a celebratory cake with her friends and leaders in the group. She commented:

"I am surprised and honoured to receive this award. I love Scouting and all the activities and belong to a really fun group."

Lincoln Minster School has recently launched its own Beaver colony - 6th Lincoln Minster Beavers - at the Pre-Preparatory School, the group runs as a co-curricular after school club from 4-5pm on Mondays in term time.
