Pupils impress in Les Miserables production at Lincoln's Drill Hall.

Last week, pupils of LMS performed in a special Lincoln Academy of Theatre Arts production of Les Miserables at the Lincoln Drill Hall.

Pupils, both past and present, took part in the special 'student edition' performances last week, from Tuesday 17th until Sunday 22nd July, to rave reviews.

The youngest of our pupils to perform was Year 3's Amelia, who was cast as Little Cossette and Eponine. Amelia first got into drama after starting LAMDA class at Pre-Prep, where she quickly discovered her love for the performing arts.

Issac, who will be moving up into Year 11 in September, was part of the Ensemble during his first ever production with LATA. This is following on from his performance in our school production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night back in December.

The part of Cosette was played by Year 13 pupil Florence, and this, as her musical debut, is a big step towards her goal of a career in classical singing. Florence is also a past winner of the Lincolnshire Young Musician of the Year award (2016).

Recent leaver Stephenson, who was a regular face in school performances, played the part of Javert in the production and we wish him all the best in the next steps of his drama journey.

It was great to also see former pupils Jasmine, Xanthe and Emily taking part in the performances.

Well done to everyone involved who made the production such a resounding success!
