LMS pupil Amber-Star has been involved in the National Saturday Club run by University of Lincoln over the last year - it’s part of a network of about 70 clubs - many of which (like Lincoln) focus on Art and Design.
“Art & Design Saturday Clubs give Members experience of working with media and practices that are used in the creative sector. Through exciting Club programmes and Masterclasses with art and design professionals, Members learn about the diverse educational and job opportunities that can lead to exciting careers.”
This weekend the University of Lincoln National Saturday Club went to Somerset House in London where the work of their group is exhibited - and what an achievement for all involved to know their work has been exhibited at one of the top creative venues in the U.K.! Students were presented with certificates of achievement for their work over this academic year.
Parent Mrs McCormack said:
"The work is stunning and a remarkable team achievement. It will also soon go on tour of 20 Chinese cities (more for the young artists to add to their CV’s!) alongside other work being exhibited by University course leader Dave Bramston - who is the energy behind the Lincoln course."
