On Wednesday 2nd October 'Non-Perfect Dad' Richard Shorter will be in school hosting a series of workshops with our sports scholars before presenting an evening discussion on the topic 'Releasing Potential in our Sporting Children'. An inspiring speaker, Richard is dedicated to enabling parents and sport teams work together through courageous and honest parenting. The talk will also discuss how parents can facilitate positive conversations based on character rather than results, whether that is academia or sport.
"Seeing parents and their children working together to have the character and mindset to succeed on and off the sports field is what I do."
The evening event on Wednesday 2nd October, starting at 6.30pm and finishing at 9pm, is open to parents and sports coaches and will be held in the Recital Hall of our Harper Building on Upper Lindum Street. Tickets are £5 per person or £10 per family, these can be purchased via Wisepay or Senior school reception. External parents and coaches are most welcome and are able to purchase tickets via Teacher of PE Mr Tom Eves; please email name, number of attendees and which sports club you are from (if relevant) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
