Lincoln Minster School is absolutely delighted that nearly a quarter of their A-level pupils achieved A*-A grades in their recent exams. This is a wonderful achievement with 10% of grades at A*.
Pupils will go on to study a variety of courses at some of the UK's finest universities. Mia Gray will go to Oxford to study Human Sciences. Tilly Holmes and Connaire Moorcroft will both study Architecture at Nottingham and Newcastle respectively. Florence Hand has achieved a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). Other courses our pupils will be taking range from Law to Fashion Marketing and English Literature to International Business Management.
98% of pupils achieved their first choice or insurance offer, a wonderful testament to the collaborative work between staff and pupils.
Rhiannon Ackland will study Natural Sciences at Cambridge, she is delighted with her results, commenting:
“I feel amazing! So happy and excited with my A*s across the board! I would like to go on to be a Research Scientist after university. I have loved my time at the school, everyone is so friendly and supportive, helping me to succeed without piling on the pressure.”
Louis Sadler achieved three B grades and an unconditional offer to study Law in Exeter, he said:
“I am very happy! I have enjoyed all of my subjects but particularly economics which I find really interesting. My goal is to become a managing partner at a law firm, ideally in London.”
Ted Latus achieved A, B and C Grades, he said:
“I am really pleased, I have done better than I expected! My plan is to spend a gap year working and saving then I am going to join the Royal Navy as a Logistics Officer on a submarine hopefully. I have really enjoyed my time at the school and the opportunities it has given me – especially Drama as I enjoy acting and also Religious Studies. I have put a lot in and gotten so much back.”
Headmaster, Mark Wallace, commented:
“We are extremely pleased for our pupils with the results they have achieved this year. This is testament to their commitment and dedication to their studies and I am delighted that their hard work has been rewarded. Everyone at Lincoln Minster School would like to thank them all for their outstanding contribution to the school over their time with us, both inside and outside the classroom.
This year group have been wonderful to work with and been excellent ambassadors for the school. We wish them every success for the future as they go onto the next stages of their lives. I would also like to thank our pupils' parents and the school's staff for their support in achieving these results.”
