Pupils see in the Chinese Year of the Dog with a wide range of fun activities and food.
The Chinese New Year celebrations began on 16th February with Chinese and Hong Kongese pupils leading assemblies to other pupils on the origin of this ancient and most colourful festival.
The Senior School was decorated with traditional ornaments pupils enjoyed a marvellous Chinese lunch put on bby our Catering Team which included a dozen traditional dishes.
Pupils had a chance to find their destiny with fortune cookies sold at break and lunch time by some of our international students; they also had the chance to purchase cards with their names written in Chinese characters.
All proceeds will go to their charity of choice, Barnardo’s.
The week was a most enjoyable cultural learning experience for all.
