Tanzania Expedition:  Pupils make it to the top of the Mountain

After a three day trek pupils on the Tanzania trip make it to the summit of Mount Meru, and are greeted by spectacular views. An enjoyable start to the trip saw pupils working successfully on a construction project at Sakila Secondary school to improve the safety and welfare of the school pupils. The group had an emotional send off from children and teachers of the school, before starting on their three day hike up Mount Meru to Socialist Peak, which is 4562m.

After a mammoth team effort, 16 out of 17 of the group made it to the summit and were rewarded with stunning views of the sun rising over Mount Kilimanjaro.
