Tanzania Expedition: Pupils prepare for Mount Meru trek

After a busy start to the trip for pupils working on a construction project in Tanzania, they are now heading on to the next part of their trip.

The group have spent their time so far building a gate at Sakila Secondary School to improve the safety and welfare of the school pupils. They have worked incredibly hard and achieved so much in just a few short days.

As well as the construction, the group have been playing sports fixtures in football and netball against the pupils of Sakila Secondary School, continuing the tradition of sport fixtures between LMS and our Tanzanian colleagues.

Following a successful few days at the school, pupils were given an emotional thanks and farewells from Sakila village leaders, the Headmaster of the school, and the pupils who will benefit from a safer school.

Today, our pupils leave to go and climb Mount Meru, the next part of their expedition. This will involve three days of trekking to hopefully get to the top, weather permitting.
