On Friday 8th December Year 2 children made their own wooden snowmen as part of Outdoor Learning. Pupils used bow saws to cut out their own wood slices and a bradawl to make holes in to allow them to insert arms made of sticks.
Teaching Assistant and Outdoor Learning Leader, Becky Skelton, said:
"The children showed great independence and confidence. They worked excellently in their groups - with two sawing and one holding the wood. They communicated well with a push-pull technique.
"The Year 2's then added the finishing touches like faces and scarves to their creations. The children then had a lovely time visiting each class to show other teachers in school what they had made."
Year 2 Pupil Isabelle went home and said to mum "Today was the best day ever!"
Well done to our Year 2 pupils on their creations.
