LMS student, Olivia W, has been offered a place against extremely tough competition at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Established in 1956 as the world's first Youth Theatre, NYT has nurtured the talent of such alumni as Helen Mirren, Daniel Craig, Daniel Day-Lewis, Orlando Bloom, Chiwetel Ejiofor and many more.
Nearly 6,000 young people auditioned this year, more than ever before, and so being offered a place is a significant achievement. Members gain full access to the NYT network and performance opportunities. Olivia will be part of a major two week Summer school in London (30th July - 11 August) ending with a performance in a London theatre.
Olivia was last seen on stage at Lincoln Minster School in The role of Viola in the Senior Production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. We look forward to hearing about her new, and doubtless, very exciting experiences with NYT!
