Year 3 at our Preparatory School have been learning about farming in Lincolnshire.
The pupils have been thinking about the journey of food in Lincolnshire food from the farm to the fork, giving them an awareness and understanding of our region and the benefits of locally grown vegetables.
On Wednesday 13th September, they worked as a team to peel and chop a range of tasty local produce which was then cooked to make a delicious soup.
Year 3 Tutor, Lorraine Marshall, said: "It's great that pupils are so enthusiastic about locally grown food and their hard work peeling and chopping resulted in some very tasty soup that the children and staff thoroughly enjoyed tasting!"
