Year 9s enjoy DofE practice walk

During the last week of term, Year 9 students took part in a morning Duke of Edinburgh 9km practice walk.

The walk took them from the river to the West Common and back through town. Not only the weather was glorious but also students thoroughly enjoyed flexing their muscles at map reading and using their observational skills to complete their “Treasure Hunt” questionnaire.

Thank you to all staff involved in making the experience such a success, in particular to Mr Barrett for organising the activity and to Ms Cobo for providing much needed ice creams!
